We went down to the river on Saturday, and there was a little beach for G to play in. She tried to eat the sand right off the bat! She had a good time~

It's been a busy month!

We have been so busy this month. Dylan graduated the 10th, we went to visit Great Grandma the 16th, Father's Day was the 17th, and we've been woodcutting on top of all of it!

Memorial Day

We went camping over memorial day. The weather was nasty, but we still had fun!

Just for auntie M

It was HOT yesterday. Hovering in the mid- 90's. Well we discovered the other night that Grace startles herself awake easily, and she puts herself back to sleep by grabbing her purple blankie and snuggling. Because it's been hot, we hadn't put her on her one day, and she woke up crying. So we started stripping her down to a onsie and letting her hold that blanket. Last night it was the hottest day yet, and we had the fan on in her room, she was in a onsie, and she had her blankie. When i went to check on her before i went to bed, she was ROASTING! It was that darn blanket. She loves it so much that she is willing to be drenched with sweat! So now we need to start blowing the fan directly on her so she can sleep........with that blankie!

is it time for lunch?

Eating has become a favorite game....she's had rice and barley cereals, green beans (mmm) bananas(mmm) and carrots (a shudder every bite, but she still ate them!) She likes to drink water from mom and dad's cups, and thinks sucking on an apple is pretty funny! We're going to try peas next i think!

Sitting all the time!

Peanut has been sitting so well in the last week! She only topples if she decides she wants a toy that is out of reach. We're so proud of her!

MMMM cereal!

Well little miss has started solids. We decided to give it the go ahead after she grabbed an empty pop can off the desk and tried to drink it! She has been getting organic brown rice cereal for the past few days, lunch and dinner. I think we are going to start a veggie, maybe green beans or carrots, this weekend. She LUNGES at the spoon, smacks her lips and sucks on her fingers while we feed her! Silly little girl!

This morning we practiced her sitting in bed. She's doing pretty good! Look at her facial expressions!






I also was able to put her hair into pigtails for the first time today. I really need to get some *little* hair bands.

What a fun weekend!

Saturday morning we went to the Cherry Festival Parade. She LOVED LOVED the harleys. Sure g'ma and g'pa mac will appreciate that *wink*. We saw a couple from birthing class that had a baby a month before Grace. They are due AGAIN, this time one year exactly from when the other baby was born! HOLY COW!
We made a flower bed on saturday night, I think it's a big improvement. The pics are of Grace playing outside then.
The partylite party was small, a lot of women couldn't come because of the community meal, but I still ended up getting $50 of free stuff and a bunch of discounts. We are having another one on May 23rd for the people that couldn't come.

I thought this was so funny. Hehe. This is Auntie M's old sweatsuit, complete with tanktop, jacket, and shorts. I put some homemade legwarmers on her to complete the outfit.

My first venture into clothing sewing.

I made a sundress. The sizing was wrong so it's more like a 12 month instead of 6-9 so it'll be a while before she wears it. I am proud to say I not only sewed with a pattern for the first time, but actually made a presentable piece of clothing!

Grace and Abby

They have become the best of friends. Whenever we lay Grace on the floor, Abby comes over and puts her head next to her. Grace tries to "pet" her. It's so cute! And yesterday I walked in and caught Abby with her head on Grace's belly.

Another diaper

This is an AIO (all in one) that I made today. I made a few mistakes, but it's my first time making them. I think it's cute, and it's only a dipe, it'll hold pee!
